It is the mission of The Arc of Greater East Texas to enhance the general welfare of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, throughout their lifetimes, by providing fully inclusive programs, services, education, advocacy, and compassion for those we serve, and for their families in Smith County and the Greater East Texas Region.

Who We Are

The Arc of Greater East Texas: Maximizing the potential of individuals with cognitive and or intellectual challenges through education, social and life skill building, information resources, family respite and advocacy.



What We Do

The Arc of Greater East Texas provides programs and services including residential and day camps, dances and socials, autism support groups while offering much needed respite to families and caregivers.



Your Support

As the Greater East Texas area grows so do the needs of the Arc as more Special Needs folks are in need of the programs and activities that we offer. We need to expand several programs to accommodate the growing number of our special needs citizens therefore continuing funds are needed to continue our growth.
